THE ROCK:
What made you get interested in modeling?
BENILDA: I have some self-esteem and confidence issues, so I figured modeling
would be a good way to try and help me rebuild that self esteem/confidence
that I was lacking.
THE ROCK: Who is your role model in the modeling
industry?
BENILDA: Wow. I look up to Vida Guerra. She’s amazingly beautiful,
and I hope to one day blow up just like her!
THE ROCK: What are your goals in the modeling
industry?
BENILDA: To become successful in what I do and to make my family back
in Puerto Rico very proud of me.
THE ROCK: If you could change something about
the world, what would it be?
BENILDA: Hmm…that’s a tough one! I believe it would have to
be about the war. Unfortunately, I recently had the pleasure of working
at the mortuary at Dover AFB, DE. Let me tell you, it really opens your
eyes about life, your priorities, and what’s going on with the world
right now. You don’t know whether what’s going on overseas
is worth people losing their lives over or not. You get really torn.
THE ROCK: What (3) words best describe you?
BENILDA: Shy, quiet, reserved.
THE ROCK: What are the pros and cons of the
modeling world?
BENILDA: Yikes! There’s so many to list! I would say the pros are
becoming well- known, the money, the travel, and the great friends you
make along the way. The cons are being criticized about how fat you are
when you weigh 120lbs, being taken advantage of, and sometimes the racism
you find in the industry.
