THE ROCK: What made you
get interested in modeling?
ELVIRA: It was actually my cousin who encouraged
me to get involved a few years ago, when she was operating her own model
management company. She set me up with some of her photographers doing
TFP/TFCD. After the initial photo shoots, I realized that I loved being
in front of the camera and had potential of becoming a model; so I decided
to stay with it.
THE ROCK:
Who is your role model in the modeling industry?
ELVIRA: I do not have a specific role model
in the industry, but I do admire Tyra Banks for her success.
THE ROCK: What
are your goals in the modeling industry?
ELVIRA: My goal is to be a hi-fashion print
model. I want to be seen in all the major fashion magazines modeling hi-fashion
designer brands. Besides this, I am also open to other avenues of the
business such as
commercial, acting, catalog, editorial, etc. At this point, I am not signed
with anyone and would love to be signed with an agency!
THE ROCK:
If you could change something about the world, what would it be?
ELVIRA: I would take away the value of money
so that everyone would be on an equal level. Money definitely makes the
world go round, and it equates to power in this world. Unfortunately,
it defines the importance/value
of people.
THE ROCK:
What (3) words best describe you?
ELVIRA: Creative, intelligent, and outgoing.
THE ROCK:
What best distinguishes you from the other models?
ELVIRA: Personality. I am a really down-to-earth,
humble person that is easy to work with. I am a hard worker, dedicated,
determined, funny, a thrill-seeker, adventurous, open, outgoing, competitive,
creative, multi-talented, intelligent, great communicator, and most importantly
I have a drive to be challenged and succeed.
THE ROCK:
What are the pros and cons of the modeling world?
ELVIRA: Pros: The opportunity to work with
different photographers, stylists, makeup/hair, and clients… and
the ability to see the fruit of your hard work and the exposure. Cons:
A major con would be the size and height requirements. I am 6ft tall and
in some cases I am too tall, especially when I put heels on. As far as
size, I was a former athlete so I've built muscle mass and have a toned
body. However, no matter how much exercising or dieting I do, I will never
be able to fit a size 2 or be real thin. I am what I am: proportionate,
healthy, and in
great shape.

What is your most exciting experience in the modeling world?
ELVIRA: The most exciting experience is being
contacted for projects, shoots, or other opportunities for exposure like
