THE ROCK: What made you get interested in modeling?
Shayy: When I was younger, I would always
be asked if I modeled and if not, then I should try it.
THE ROCK: Who is your role model in the modeling
industry?
Shayy: Anyone who has struggled to be
in the industry.
THE ROCK: What are your goals in the modeling
industry?
Shayy: To have a successful commercial print
career and to be on the cover of Essence someday!
THE ROCK: If you could change something about
the world, what would it be?
Shayy: That there would be no more poverty
and violence, and that people would be more sympathetic towards one another.
THE ROCK: If you could change something about
the modeling industry, what would it be?
Shayy: That there would be no limit to what
height, weight or race you can be regardless of the job as long as
you prove to be good at it.
THE ROCK: What (3) words best describe you?
Shayy: Outgoing, Giving and Talented.
THE ROCK: What are the pros and cons of the
modeling world?
Shayy: The pros are that there are so many
opportunities in modeling. The cons are that there are so many people
who are not legit, so you have to do your homework and make sure that
you aren't getting yourself caught up in anything dangerous.
THE ROCK: What best distinguishes you from the
other models in the industry?
Shayy: Well, most people would probably say
that their determination and confidence, which in my opinion is something
I feel everyone has, but I will have to say that my eyes are what distinguishes
me. I feel that they are unique and speak a thousand words on photographs!
THE ROCK: What is your most exciting experience
in the modeling world?
Shayy: So far, I would have to say when I
went to New York for the first time a few years back and did a photo shoot
in the Empire State Building. The view was breathtaking!
THE ROCK: Where do you see yourself in five
years?
Shayy: I want to be happy and healthy and
doing what I love best whatever that may be at the time!
